Hayley Orrantia (born in the year 1996) is an American actor, singer, and songwriter. Her most well-known role is Erica Goldberg from the TV comedy series "The Goldbergs". However, she's primarily musician. Music, according her, is the very first thing she enjoys. She began playing with it when she was nine years old. She began training in music professionally when she was 12. When she was 13, she started creating songs. Her debut album in the age of 14. And the rest is history. Orrantia was born in the USA and yet she holds Hispanic roots. Although she spoke only English growing up and had never been to Mexico Orrantia is proud of her Hispanic heritage. To preserve the heritage, she is learning Spanish. She also creates songs using the language. "Hasta Verte" is a song in Spanish which she recorded is a good example. Orrantia appeared in The X Factor season 1's auditions during the summer 2011. Her YouTube video was chosen and she received four "yeses" (or votes), from the judges at the Seattle audition. Though she initially auditioned as a solo artist, at "Hollywood Week" the singer, along with three female performers were put into an ensemble for the remainder in the selection process. The live shows were held in the 5th week.
