Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She is an American Mexican actress. Also, she sings. In her early years Sara was targeted for racial discrimination by American citizens of all races. As she entered the 9th grade she started to feel more secure after being applauded by her teachers for singing at a school's audition. At the age of 23, her first Broadway show with Paul Simon's The Capeman, and her debut film, You've Got Mail, were her biggest break.
